Former Catholic bishop, former president of the Université de Métaphysique de Montréal

BIO
Dr. Bernard Cantin taught Joseph Murphy's philosophy for 35 years. Director of Unité Universelle in Paris for several years, he was involved in setting up a number of centres where this creative, positivist philosophy of thought is taught.

1938 (August 4). Born in the Quebec City region.

1963-1968. Bernard Cantin, now a metaphysical ontologist and celebrating pastor, first studied philosophy and theology at St-Paul University in Ottawa, Ont. Canada, where he studied the writings of Joseph Murphy. During his career at Radio-Canada in Alberta, Bernard continued his research in these areas.

It was in Calgary in 1978 that he met his mentor Dr. Murphy, who invited him to his private residence in Laguna Hills, California, to share his metaphysical knowledge with him. Bernard later became Dr. Murphy's proxy in Quebec and was responsible for his French-language mail.

Since 1981, Bernard has also been the founder and director of Le Nouveau Penser, where he provides spiritual therapy services. He teaches metaphysics in a variety of settings and has given talks every Sunday at the Université du Québec à Montréal, as well as in penitentiaries and to numerous social and cultural organisations. A distinguished lecturer, he is often invited to Europe to train future spiritual harmonisers.

Finally, Dr Bernard Cantin is the initiator of Nouveau Penser centres in Belgium and France.

He was President of Unité Universelle in Paris, replacing Dr. Mary Sterling who was the translator of Dr. Murphy's books for four consecutive years.

He has written three books: "Joseph Murphy se raconte à Bernard Cantin - Joseph Murphy tells his story to Bernard Cantin" and "Le renouvellement de l'esprit - The renewal of the mind" as well as "Se libérer de ses chaines - Freeing yourself from your chains" in collaboration with Dr. Bernard Lacroix, Physician.

1987. Le Nouveau Penser will be recognised as a religious society in order to offer all the rituals of life's passages as a pastor celebrating without confession. Whether for weddings, christenings, engagements, spiritual weddings, vow renewals (wedding anniversaries) or funerals.

1981-1992. President of INTA (International New Thought Alliance) in Quebec Dr. Bernard Cantin was also INTA's international spokesman from 1988 to 1992.

« There are people who, in all good faith, believe that ontology (or practical metaphysics) is studied to become rich, for the possibility of having more. But practical ontology is above all about giving and giving the best of oneself. We study it to love better...»
